Our minimum age is 10 years old. Except for the special Grom Squad clinic which is the only time 6-10 year olds can ride.

Yes we strongly recommend booking online in advance to secure your session at www.wakehouse.com.au   

Please note we do not take bookings over the phone, the only way to book is online or at the park reception. 

Yes, the Lakeside Cafe and Sunset Bar operates whilst the cable is open. Usually on Friday nights there is live music and it stays open till 9pm.

We do not allow outside food and drink at Wake House Australia as we have a fully licensed Lakeside Cafe and Sunset Bar which operates whilst the wake park is spinning.

Spectators are always free at Wake House Australia. Lots of people come down and walk around the lakes or just enjoy watching from the cafe deck.

A Thong board is the moulded bottom board with footstraps on it, it is designed for beginners/learner wake-boarders. Benefits of this board include being able to slip straight out of the board when you stack or fall off. Whereas the boot binding wakeboard means your feet are strapped in to your board so when you stack, you come to a complete stop. Therefor we recommend you only use a boot binding board when you are advanced and have great board control on the thong board. The only board that can hit the features are the boot binding boards.  

Thong boards are included in every session type. Boot boards are not included in the Easy Rider or Advanced sessions – you can hire them for an additional $20 per person. 

Yes you can use your own board however you need to make sure that all fins are taken off and you have a smooth base to ride over our obstacles. You don’t want to damage your board or our obstacles.

No we do not hire wetsuits but we do have a range of light RipCurl and Peak wetsuits available for purchase.

Yes we do have hot water showers in each bathroom and they are complimentary to use.

Yes you can but we are very strict about it. All dogs must be kept on lead on the entire property (yes even on the other side of the lake) and you must clean up after you dog promptly. We will ask you to leave if you do not adhere to our policy. At the cafe we happily provide doggy bowls for water 🙂

No, at Wake House Australia we have a strict no drinking or being under the influence before/whilst wakeboarding at the park. Once you are done on the water than you can sit back and relax at the Lakeside Cafe and Sunset Bar if you are over 18 of course!

The Mackay region is home to some of Australia’s most pristine national parks and only a stones throw away from the Great Barrier Reef teeming with tropical marine life. The city of Mackay is approximately 90 minutes south of tourist hot spot Airlie Beach with readily available bus/car transfers to the Mackay region.

Flights to Mackay (airport code: MKY) are available daily from Brisbane (the capital city of Queensland) with Virgin Australia, Qantas and Jetstar. Townsville and Rockhampton flights are operated by Qantaslink also daily. 

Soon Bonza will offer direct airfares from Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Melbourne. 

Most flights will fly directly over the top of the park so you may see it when your coming into land. We are approximately 20 minutes drive by car from Mackay Airport and approx 1.5 hours drive by car from the Proserpine/Whitsunday Coast airport.  

Yes right on the lake is the newly built Mackay Adventure Lodge. Book one of our our ride and stay packages and one of our friendly team will even pick you up from the Mackay airport, bus station or train station.

Yes right next door is the Andergrove Van Park.
